Kimberly Hoagwood, PhD, and Donna Bradbury, OMH, presented at NATCON 2017 on state-academic partnerships to improve child outcomes. Click here for the presentation. Dr. Hoagwood Presents in Kampala, Uganda on EBPsDr. Hoagwood traveled to Kampala, Uganda to present at the kickoff for the new NIMH-funded African Center for Collaborative Child Mental Health Implementation Research, where she is a Co-Investigator.

November 2016: 'Mystery Shopper' Study: Access to Care for Adolescent MH
Click here to read the newly-published article which utilizes an innovative 'walkthrough' method to study access to adolescent mental health care in New York State (Olin et al., 2016) and accompanying editorial (Zima et al., 2016).
November 2016: Special APMH Issue includes IDEAS Research
A new special issue of APMH includes two papers from IDEAS researchers. The papers focus on the use of learning collaboratives to promote the use of EBPs (Nadeem et al., 2016), and factors that predict clinician dropout from statewide Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) Training (Olin et al., 2016).

Serene Olin, PhD., IDEAS Center Deputy Director, presented a talk entitled, "Managing Postpartum Depression: Why is Pediatric Primary Care an Ideal Venue?" at Pediatric Grand Rounds at Gouverneur Health Services on December 2, 2015.
November 2015: Kimberly Hoagwood, PhD, Receives Carl A. Taube Award from APHA
Kimberly Eaton Hoagwood, Ph.D., vice chair for research and the Cathy and Stephen Graham Professor, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center, was awarded the Carl A. Taube Award from the Mental Health Section of the American Public Health Association (APHA) at their annual meeting held in Chicago, IL, October 31-November 4. The award is given to scholars who have made distinguished contributions to mental health services research, and is the single, highest honor conferred in the field.
January 2014: Kimberly Hoagwood, PhD, Named to Two Institute of Medicine Panels
Kimberly Hoagwood, PhD, was recently appointed to two Institute of Medicine (IOM) and National Research Council (NRC) panels geared toward improving the mental health of the nation's children. In January 2014, Dr. Hoagwood will begin serving on the Institute of Medicine Committee on Disability Benefits for Children with Mental Disorders, and the Institute of Medicine-National Research Council (IOM-NRC) forum, Promoting Children's Cognitive, Affective and Behavioral Health (C-CAB). Congratulations to Dr. Hoagwood!
January 2014: Three New Special APMH Issues Highlight IDEAS Research on Coaching and Consultation for EBP Fidelity, Family Support Services (FSS), and Mixed Methods
A special issue (January 2014) on family support services was recently published by Administration and Policy in Mental Health and Mental Health Services Research. The papers, related to the Family-to-Family Study conducted by IDEAS researchers, describe the work of family peer advocates, the development of quality indicators for family support services (FSS), and how best to improve the implementation of the FSS model by taking into account the organizational social context of organizations.
