Dara Weiss is a Senior Research Coordinator at the IDEAS Center. She holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. Dara works on The Parent Partner Initiative, which aims to develop and test a service delivery model integrating parent partners into Nationwide Children’s Hospital with goals of reducing healthcare costs and improving quality of care. For this project, Dara assists a multidisciplinary team with a variety of study components, including the development of the training curriculum and the hiring and consultation model, as well as study design. Dara will also serve as the project coordinator for future Parent Partner research and evaluation projects. Prior to joining the IDEAS Center, Dara worked as a Data Manager for Dr. Bruce Chorpita on the Child STEPs project, a randomized clinical trial of effectiveness in psychosocial treatments for youth with anxiety, depression, trauma and behavioral problems. Dara was responsible for project infrastructure, participant enrollment, administration of weekly and quarterly assessments, and training and management of research assistants. She has also held several positions in marketing, communications and project management across academic and professional settings.
