MAP Certification

Requirements:

Complete NYS Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP) Training:

• MAP Pre-training "What to Expect When You're MAPPING!" Webinar 

• Four MAP Full Day Trainings:
  • Day 1:  Overview of MAP 
  • Day 2:  Anxiety and Trauma
  • Day 3:  Depression and Disruptive Behavior Disorder
  • Day 4:  C3 - Connect, Cultivate and Consolidat​

• Mid-Point Meeting: Progress check and Portfolio Review

• Bi-Weekly Consultation Webinars:
  • ​Training participants will receive ongoing consultation from MAP trainers, with bi-weekly clinician calls for 4 months following initial training. 

• Submit Certification Materials:
  • At least 3 Dashboards
  • MAP Therapist (or Supervisor) Portfolios

Once you fulfill the necessary requirements, a member of the EBTDC staff will promptly email you a copy of your certificate along with a high-quality .png file of the certification badge. You can then easily incorporate this badge into your LinkedIn profile (see directions below) or professional website to showcase your accomplishment.

To add certification to LinkedIn:

1. ​Click the "Me" icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, then View Profile.
2. Click Add profile section in the introduction section.
3. Click Recommended dropdown, then Add licenses & certifications.
4. In the Add license or certification pop-up window that appears, enter your information into the fields provided.
   • Name: "New York State MAP Certification"
   • Issuing Organization: "New York State Office of Mental Health"
   • Issue Date: Listed on your certification
   • Expiration Date: N/A
   • Credential ID: Listed on your certification
   • Credential URL: N/A
   • Skills: Your choice, but we recommend "Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs)"
   • Media: Attach badge .png file provided via email by EBTDC team (Do not use the badge with watermarks on this page)
5. Click Save.
