MAP Training Components

MAP Pre-training "What to Expect When You're MAPPING!" Webinar: 
Prior to the 4-day in-person training, all registered participants must attend a pre-training webinar which will cover: (1) an introduction to the EBTDC MAP training and (2) an introduction to Microsoft Excel. The pre-training webinar is held 1 week prior to the in-person training.

​Please Note: This pre-training webinar is mandatory, and is not the same as the MAP informational webinar. Official participants will receive more information about the pre-training webinar after being enrolled the program.

MAP In-Person Training:
In-person training consists of 4 in-person training days, with one additional mid-point in-person (if in NYC) or webinar (if not in NYC) day scheduled approximately 8 weeks after the initial training:
  • Day 1:  Overview of MAP 
  • Day 2:  Anxiety and Trauma
  • Day 3:  Depression and Disruptive Behavior Disorder
  • Day 4:  C3 - Connect, Cultivate and Consolidate
  • Mid-Point Meeting: Progress check and Portfolio Review

Bi-Weekly Consultation Webinars:
Training participants will receive ongoing consultation from MAP trainers, with bi-weekly clinician calls for 4 months following initial training. 

Certification Materials:
Participants have the opportunity to earn NYS EBTDC MAP Clinician or Supervisor certification. Clinician certification requirements:
  • At least 3 Dashboards
  • MAP Therapist (or Supervisor) Portfolios
  • EBTDC staff provides clinical and technical support throughout training to assist participants in successfully completing the certification requirements within 5 months of the start of training
